What types of events are held at Rosewood Farms?

Corporate Events - workshops, conferences, dinner banquets, galas, benefits, etc. Photo Shoots - styled shoots, family sessions, engagement sessions, mini-sessions, etc.

How many guests can each space entertain?

The Rustic Barn most comfortably seats up to 175 guests for a ceremony. With flexibility in utilizing the foyer and mezzanine, an additional 50 guests can be seated. The Rustic Barn lower level and patio are typically used for cocktail hour and can comfortably accommodate about 275 guests. The Rose Barn is equipped to comfortably host a seated reception for 275 guests.

What is the standard timing of an event at rosewood?

Corporate Events are offered as half-day and full-day packages.

Half-Day packages include 5 hours on site (1 hour for prep, a 3 hour event, and 1 hour for clean-up). Our standard time slots are 10:00am-3:00pm and 5:00pm-10:00pm.

Full-Day packages include 8 hours on site (1 hour for prep, a 6 hour event, and 1 hour for clean-up). Our standard time slots are 8:00am-4:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm.

Events are required to end at 9:00pm, unless an extra rental hour is purchased. Extra preparation time is also available for purchase. Host, vendor, and guest access to the property is not permitted outside of the contracted venue rental time.

What is your pricing and availability?

Events at Rosewood Farms are typically hosted during the week and on limited weekend dates. The venue rental cost for corporate events can range from $1,750 t0 $4,000 depending on the duration of the event and how many buildings are in use. Photo Shoots are offered at an hourly rate. For specifics on pricing and to view our availability calendar, please inquire with us by filling out the event contact us form. Tables and chairs are not included, but can be rented directly though Rosewood Farms.

Can you tell me a little more about catering at your venue?

Catering is not included in the venue rental fee. We have aligned ourselves with a handful of diverse caterers from which you are required to choose from. Our caterers provide an excellent level of service, high quality food, and a customizable experience. View more about each caterer here

How do I book my event?

A non-refundable payment of the total venue rental fee and an electronically signed agreement will secure your desired event date. We accept the following forms of payment: (1) Check mailed to 1316 Singerly Road, Elkton, MD 21921 (2) Cash or check drop off (3) E-check through the portal with a $5 processing fee. Keep in mind that Monday-Thursday events can be booked at any time. Friday-Sunday events cannot be booked until 4 months prior to the desired event date.

Am I required to hire an event planner?

Although event planners are not required to book your corporate event at Rosewood Farms, we highly recommend it! The planners on our vendor list will be sure to help you think through every detail of the event.

Will someone from rosewood farms be there for my event?

Yes! A Venue Manager will be on-site throughout the entirety of your event. Your Venue Manager will be on-site for the duration of your event. They will ensure that the grounds and buildings are maintained throughout the event. Their main responsibilities include regulating heating and air, adjusting lighting, and maintaining bathrooms. Additional responsibilities may include the execution of any enhancements.

What is the required event insurance?

All of your vendors must have the proper insurance, but the most important people (you) need to be covered as well! Our minimum requirement is a $1,000,000 liability with host liquor liability included, regardless of alcohol being served. Once the policy is purchased, we ask that you upload it directly to your online portal.

What can I do to enhance my event experience?

What can I expect for my final walk through?

The Final Walk Through is typically a month before your event. You, your caterer, the event host, and a Rosewood Farms staff member are required to attend this meeting. We will confirm the general timeline, finalize your floor plans, and collect payment for your final invoice (tables, chairs, and enhancements).

How close are you to hotels and local entertainment?

Rosewood Farms is nestled between Baltimore and Philadelphia with close proximity to Newark, Delaware. Within a 15-20 minute drive, there are a variety of hotels, restaurants, and social activities. For specific hotels that we recommend, please visit our vendor list
